* This is a re-post from my old blog, it was around the time that the #20beautifulwomen was going around Instagram back in February. I thought that it fit perfectly for today’s post 🙂 I hope that you enjoy reading this. *
There’s this #20beautifulwomen going around on Instagram. I was tagged to do it, in which I posted a photo of me last winter, I will post it below. I didn’t post it because I felt beautiful in it. I posted it because it’s winter here in NE and I thought it fit the time frame., with the photo I also posted this caption in hopes that it would inspire someone. in some way.
Social media is a good start; It’s not hard to come across different views, body shapes, what’s acceptable, what’s not. We’ve got to have Curves, but still be skinny, have a thigh gap, have a round perky butt, great breasts, tiny waist, and STILL be happy?
Do you see just how much pressure we put on ourselves?
We are so incredibly lucky to be living, you know. To be blessed with a life.. A life where we can do so much. Have an exciting career, have a family, make a positive difference in this world. Don’t let society ruin a FULFILLING LIFE for you.
Beauty is having a pretty mind, a pretty heart & a beautiful soul. I want everyone to know that you’re all beautiful, don’t let society tell you other wise. Beauty is being confident in yourself.
Now, I posted that because some girls who posted their photo’s had captions under them saying “I felt beautiful this day, my outfit, my hair, my makeup it was perfect” Girl you’re always beautiful!! Don’t let one day because your hair and outfit were great make you believe you’re beautiful.
I wish that girls didn’t feel they weren’t beautiful because they don’t look like someone else, they don’t have a nice ass like Beyonce, or abs like a fitness guru, or whatever. you may compare yourself too. Every girl is different & every girl is beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you don’t think you’re beautiful, you come off as insecure which is the one reason to why you don’t feel beautiful. If you’re constantly judging or yourself comparing yourself to others, you’ll never feel confident. Just be confident in yourself, you can be confident with out being cocky.
I am too guilty of struggling with this problem, not all of the time but there are times when I feel beautiful and days where I don’t feel beautiful at all. But when I really think about it, and let my mind go; I always end up thinking… Everyone is different, different eye color, different breast size, different shape, skin color, but you know what everyone is beautiful in their own way. Something I will be doing is telling myself right when I think I don’t feel beautiful is no matter what, I am beautiful! I won’t dwell on the fact that I don’t look like someone, because I am my number one enemy.
You can admire someone else’s beauty with out questioning yours!
